In November 2011 a research article called “Natural History of Infantile GM2 Gangliosidosis” was published in the Official Journal of the Maerican Acadamy of Pediatrics.
Although this research article was published in 2006 we thought it was important that the findings in the study titled “Effective gene therapy in an authentic model of Tay-Sachs related diseases” were highlighted once again.
A new study by Professor Cox and his team was published online in November 2011 which looked at children diagnosed with GM2 gangliosidosis in the UK.
We are fortunate to have direct access to the main research team into Tay-Sachs who are now providing us with regular updates of their work.
An important objective of The CATS is to support the research into a potential treatment for Tay-Sachs and its associated diseases.
