WBA Supporters Golf Society Golf Day 2014
Earlier this year we were contacted by Alan Jones-Bratt from the WBA Supporters Golf Society to let us know that The Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation had been chosen as the charity that they would like to support during their annual Captain’s Golf Day. We were honoured and delighted to have been chosen as this was the second year in a row that the WBA Supporters Golf Society had selected The CATS Foundation as the beneficiary for their annual fundraising event. Photos from last year’s event can be found here.
In total there were thirty-nine players who took part in the Captain’s golf day held at Astbury Hall and the charity was able to send two teams to take part in the event. The overall winner of the competition was Aiden Marie and photos of the winners of the various competitions can be found on our Flickr page here.
We would like to say a big thank you to Alan and everyone at the WBA Supporters Golf society for not only choosing to support The CATS Foundation again, but for putting on such a fun event. In total £1, 885 was raised which is a fantastic amount and will go a long way in our fight against Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease. We would also like to say a thank you to Donna Hancox for supplying some hand made cat dolls that were auctioned off in the evening and also to Haydn Jones-Bratt for taking the photos.
If you would like to know when our next golf day or other fundraising events are on then please get in touch or check out our website.
