Running from London to Cardiff!

On the 30 June 2014 a group of runners took part in the longest point-to-point relay race in the UK for The Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation! The race is called the London2Cardiff 24 and the team had to cover the distance between the two cities while running – this is a total of 160 miles! The race started in Twickenham and finished at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and the route took the runners through many towns including the famous Ridgeway, which is Britain’s oldest road. Each team member ran around 30 miles and our runners were Ben, Dan, Mark, Fiona, Dan, James, Ramsey, Jacqui, Liz, Richard, Stu and Brian (all pictured at the top of this email with Amelie in her pram).

Our team managed to finish the race in 25 hours and 17 minutes and used the opportunity to raise awareness of the charity along the way. The team have managed to raise over £10,000 for The CATS Foundation which is a phenomenal amount and we would like to thank everyone who has sponsored the team. A few photos from the run can be found below and on our Flickr page here and if you are interested in taking part in an event for the charity please get in touch!
