The BPNA Conference 2014

The BPNA Conference 2014

The CATS Foundation was invited to attend the British Paediatric Neurological Association (BPNA) Annual Conference in Winchester at the end of January and to also have a stand promoting the charity and the gene therapy trial we are involved in.

The conference was a huge success for us and we were able to make contact with many doctors who look after children affected by both Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease. We were also able to distribute brochures about the trial so that these can be passed onto families who would like more information about the trial we are involved in and is due to start in the next two to three years.

You can check out some photos from the event below and we hope you can see how much your support and generosity helps the charity grow!

Daniel is the father of a little girl called Amelie who was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs in March 2011 when she was 15 months old. After slowly coming to terms with what the future held, Daniel, his wife Patricia and their friends started THE CATS FOUNDATION to raise awareness of the disease and to provide fund raising opportunities so that a potential treatment can be found.
