We are delighted to bring you an update on the research into Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease in the UK.
The research team investigating a potential treatment for Tay-Sachs have been provided a Â£2.84 million grant from the UK Medical Research Council to begin work on a trial for Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease.
In June 2013 The CATS Foundation made a donation of Â£35,000 to the team leading the research into Tay-Sachs.

In January 2012 a research article called âThe cellular pathology of lysosomal diseaseâ (Cox and CachÃ³n-GonzÃ¡lez 2012) was published in The Journal of Pathology which examined lysosomes.
